Mission Team Purpose Statement
Eastside Christian Church Mission Team exists to promote God’s attitude of generosity by linking lives together, enabling members to provide spiritual, emotional and financial support to ministries, individuals and organizations locally, nationally and globally.
Mission Team Value Statements
These statements shall guide us, not rule us, in making decisions on which ministries, individuals, and organizations that ECC shall support.
Value #1—Commitment to Evangelism
ECC holds that it will support organizations and individuals that are a part of overtly Christian organizations who present Christ as a part of their ministry. Some missions will need to communicate their effectiveness by reporting the evangelistic impact they are having bringing Christ to one or to many.
Value #2—Ministerial Training/Internship
ECC values the training of ECC members for specialized ministry, preaching, youth ministry or missions and desires to help support them as “Timothys.”
Value #3—Commitment to Biblical Teaching
ECC desires to support organizations, individuals, and ministries that reflect the Biblical beliefs of ECC.
Value #4—Ministry Oversight and Accountability
Since ECC is unable to hold accountable, provide oversight, or evaluate strategies employed by various missionaries, individuals, or organizations, we believe that each of our supported missions be under the watchful eye of an umbrella organization. This organization should provide financial and ministry accountability.
Value #5—Communication
ECC desires to have regular communication from the field of service. This communication will serve to maintain an atmosphere of generosity where both the giver and receiver are blessed and the Kingdom of God expanded.
Value #6—Member Involvement
ECC values the ministries and mission in which the opportunity to many members is involved. A mission that enables members of ECC to be personally involved is highly valued.
Value #7—Significant Support
ECC endeavors to support missions, individuals, ministries, and organizations to such an extent that we are valued by that ministry.
Value #8—Diversified Involvement
ECC wishes to impact the world globally, in the United States, and in our local community. We will support local missions, foreign missions, specific educational institutions that promote Christian ministry and socially need-based ministries.
