Favorite Verse
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.”
I Cor. 13:4-7

“If God is for us, who is against us?” Romans 8:31b "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord". Romans 8:38 & 39
My Dream for Eastside
Every member be able, and willing, to share their faith with unbelievers to save as many as possible in our families and neighborhoods.
My Perfect Day
The screech of sea gulls awaken me just at the crack of dawn. Jerry’s arm is draped over me and there is a soft breeze fluttering the curtains at the window of our cottage on the seashore. When Jerry leaves for his golf game, I putter around in my flower beds that are surrounded by the weathered picket fence around our yard. Later, I take a glass of iced tea down to the old wooden lounger nearer the shore. Now the gulls have to compete with the squeals and laughter of the kids on the beach. When Jerry gets home, we take a swim and then a walk down the shore and discuss our mornings. Then we head home to our house in the hills. We sit on the porch and look out over the rolling hills of trees and the “hollers” with big round bales of hay dotting their green fields. The lightning bugs down there seem to be putting on a light show just for us in a theatre so quiet and still with only the frogs and crickets and the occasional call of a whip- o-will as the orchestra. When our day is done, and Jerry’s arm is draped over me, I know that no matter where I am or what the circumstances are when I open my eyes the next morning, I can rest peacefully in the knowledge that God is good, God is faithful and God is in control.
