Worship

Eastside Worship exists entirely to point people towards Jesus Christ. Worship welcomes in the Holy Spirit to prepare our hearts to receive the word of God. Psalm 105:1 says this “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name; make known among the nations what He has done.” We are a body of believers that declares through song that Jesus is Lord.

Vision

3 keys to our worship are these.

        1. Persistent- Psalm 63:1 "You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry parched land where there is no water."
We want to continually seek Him.

        2. Passionate-Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
We long to have a deep desire to have our hearts filled with His love.

        3. Power-Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is in us, to Him be the glory in the             church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!  Amen
We will trust in the power that is in His name.

Worship Style

We have a fluid, modern worship style. We change up our band setup often, so one week we may have a full band with drums and guitars and the next week may be a folk setup with banjo and fiddle. We strive for creativity because we are worshiping a creative God. We are more concerned with authentic worship than a defined style. We strive for excellence because He deserves nothing less. Scripture repeats “sing a new song to the Lord” several times, so we often sing new songs. There is incredible power in declaring a truth about God in a new way. There is also incredible power in singing songs that have been sung for generations. We do both. Our goal each week is to create an environment where people are free to passionately and authentically worship the God who loves them, who died for them, and who saved them.

Who Is Involved?

Eastside worship is made up of people who are invested in Eastside. We love our church. God has given us musical talents, and it is our responsibility to use those talents to serve and glorify Him.
