Outreach and Missions
Through the outreach at Eastside we want to reach peoples in our local, national, global areas that are lost and in need of Jesus. Our goal is to have people actively involved in the community through service opportunities. We want to reach people who are in need, not just from a physical standpoint, but from a spiritual standpoint as well. We strive to identify needs in our local, national, and global communities and act on those needs.
This event is usually three times a year. This event is designed to serve the people of our church and community by providing clothing, furniture, and appliances to our low to no income people.
Health and Wellness Fair
This is an annual event. H&W is a community event in its truest sense. We partner with other community organizations that have the same goal of taking care of our underserved. This is an event that requires 200 plus people to make happen.
Community breakfast meets every Sunday morning. We feed people at the Community Action of Southern Indiana (CASI) on 8th street. We meet between 6 and 6:15am to start cooking breakfast and finish up between 8:30 and 9 am after cleaning up. This is a great way to interact with our underserved in the community.
St. Elizabeth’s Distribution Day
The is a crew of people who meet on the second Tuesday of every month from 10am to 2pm. We help distribute clothes and goods to expecting mothers or new mothers.
The Outreach and missions ministry is open to any person willing to serve and put others first. This ministry isn’t easy at times but it is very rewarding. If you are looking to serve in a ministry contact David Parkerson through email@example.com.
